Site Engineer

Job Title: Site Engineer (Groundworks & Utilities)
Location: Euston, London, NW1
Duration: 8 Months+
Rate: £320/day (Inside IR35, PAYE)

 

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a Site Engineer for a project based in Euston, London. This role will support construction and engineering operations within the Southern Region, with a strong focus on groundworks, utilities, and deep drainage. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of site-based engineering practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting Out: Accurately setting out for all elements of the works (e.g., utilities, drainage, structures).

  • Utilities/Groundworks: Delivering works involving deep drainage, water, gas, and power infrastructure.

  • QA & ITPs: Completing Quality Assurance (QA) checks and ensuring compliance with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

  • Daily Reporting: Completing daily allocation sheets, diaries, and maintaining clear, accurate site records.

  • Communication: Interpreting construction drawings and specifications, and clearly relaying this information to site operatives and subcontractors.

  • Site Monitoring: Monitoring progress and ensuring work is carried out in line with project drawings, design intent, and health & safety standards.

 

Requirements:

Essential:

  • CSCS Card (valid and relevant to role)

  • Proven experience in setting out and groundworks/utilities projects

  • Strong understanding of QA processes and record keeping

  • Ability to communicate effectively with site teams

Beneficial:

  • SMSTS or SSSTS

  • Confined Space Training

  • NRSWA Certification

  • Water Hygiene Card

  • Utilities Avoidance Training
