A fantastic opportunity for a Senior P6 Planner to join a major UK infrastructure project, focusing on tunnelling, shafts, and microtunnelling. We're seeking a proactive planning expert with advanced Primavera P6 skills and strong experience in large-scale civil engineering works.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated construction programmes in Primavera P6, covering all project phases.

• Resource- and cost-load schedules in line with the WBS, budgets, and forecasts.

• Track performance using earned value management (EVM); identify and address variances.

• Support progress valuations, forecasting, and reporting in collaboration with commercial and finance teams.

• Conduct critical path analysis, develop mitigation programmes, and assist with claims.

• Liaise with project teams and subcontractors to ensure programme accuracy and integrity.

• Deliver clear weekly/monthly updates and lookahead reports to senior leadership.

• Operate independently with strong problem-solving and critical thinking.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Primavera P6 Planner on major infrastructure projects.

• Proven skills in developing cost/resource-loaded programmes.

• Solid grasp of EVM, risk analysis, and progress tracking.

• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with diverse teams.

• Full right to work in the UK; immediate or short notice availability preferred.

Preferred

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

• Experience with NEC or FIDIC contracts.

• Background in tunnelling or microtunnelling is highly desirable.
