Site Supervisor - Civil Engineering (Groundworks & RC Frames)

Duration: 1 Year
Pay: £290 to £330 (DOE)
Red Sky Personnel is working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure scheme in the Reading area. They are looking for a Site Supervisor with solid experience in groundworks, utilities, and reinforced concrete structures to support daily site operations on a technically complex and high-profile project.
The site operates within a secure and regulated environment, so candidates must be eligible for clearance and willing to undergo background checks as part of the onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily site activities relating to groundworks, service diversions, and RC frame works
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project standards and specifications
- Coordinate labour, plant, and materials on site to maintain smooth operations
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce adherence to health & safety policies
- Monitor work quality and progress; report issues or delays to the Site Manager or Project Manager
- Support the preparation and management of site documentation including daily records, RAMS, and progress reports
- Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, organised, and safe condition
- Promote and uphold a strong health & safety culture among the workforce
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the client counterpart
- Record daily activities and outputs accurately
- Attend Daily Activity Briefings (DABs)
- Understand technical drawings and coordinate with engineers to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Work in line with the client's logistics plan and manage deliveries accordingly
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor on civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in groundworks and reinforced concrete frame structures
- SSSTS, and a valid CSCS card are essential
- Previous experience on secure or regulated sites is beneficial
- Based within a commutable distance to Reading
