Airport Manager

Purpose: The Airport Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient operation of airport services at the assigned international station. This role oversees compliance, service delivery, resource management, and stakeholder coordination to maintain punctual, seamless operations in line with company standards. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities 1. Customer Service & Administration • Plan, develop, and maintain ground operating procedures in alignment with company objectives. • Implement and continuously improve service processes and procedures. • Oversee passenger service standards, ensuring complaints and queries are resolved effectively. • Monitor and achieve quality and performance targets in line with company standards. 2. Regulatory Compliance & Coordination • Ensure full compliance with airline and airport safety, security, and service standards. • Oversee the day-to-day functioning of all station activities. • Administer contracts, leases, and agreements related to ground handling facilities and equipment. • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring cost efficiency and service excellence. • Liaise with airport authorities, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations. 3. People Management • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure adequate resourcing and skill levels. • Monitor staff performance, providing coaching, feedback, and support. • Lead annual performance reviews and appraisals. • Foster a positive workplace culture focused on safety, efficiency, and customer service. 4. Financial Management • Prepare annual customer service and ground handling budgets based on operational schedules. • Track and manage performance against budget, implementing corrective actions when necessary. • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for equipment purchase or outsourcing decisions. • Ensure proper maintenance of office and airport equipment. • Submit accurate monthly operational and financial reports to head office.
