Parts Advisor/ Parts Technician role at the airport
About Our Client: Our client is a market leader in Ground Service Equipment (GSE) repair and maintenance. They offer a dynamic work environment and a clear path for career growth and are looking to employ an experienced Parts Advisor to join their successful team
Role Overview: As a Parts Advisor , you will manage the store's environment, ensuring the efficient handling of materials, fluids, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client-provided materials on-site.
Parts Advisor Key Responsibilities:
Materials Issue:
- Understand and fulfil technician requirements promptly.
- Provide courteous and efficient over-the-counter service.
- Respond to telephone inquiries.
- Pick and pack stock orders.
- Generate daily reports.
Goods Inward:
- Receive and log deliveries into the IT system.
- Organise and maintain the goods received quarantine area.
- Safely unload delivery vehicles.
- Operate a company forklift truck.
- Immediately notify suppliers of any damaged goods or short shipments.
Parts Advisor Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience with Automotive Parts, GSE, or plant machinery parts/stores environment.
- Strong focus on customer and service delivery.
- Familiarity with stores procedures and systems, especially in vehicle, plant, or machinery parts environments.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Background in the vehicle maintenance sector.
- Proven experience in a busy parts department.
