Automotive Workshop Operations Manager What You'll Do
As the Workshop Manager, you’ll take charge of:
- Training & Development:
- Deliver hands-on and theoretical workshop training
- Build and maintain a skills matrix
- Mentor engineers and apprentices
- Drive continuous improvement in technical performance
- Workshop Support & Leadership:
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship
- Step in as Workshop Manager when needed
- Oversee workshop efficiency and compliance
- Manage maintenance reporting and parts ordering via SAGE
- Customer Service:
- Be the go-to contact for customers—on-site and over the phone
- Ensure a positive, solution-focused experience
- Collaborate with teams to meet client expectations
- Operational & Facility Oversight:
- Maintain workshop infrastructure and service providers
- Support renovations and cost-effective improvements
- Contribute to Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and OEM visits
- Health & Safety:
- Assist in incident investigations and safety reporting
- Uphold workplace safety standards and compliance
Automotive Workshop Operations Manager - What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in Workshop management in maintenance & repair
- Proven trainer and mentor with strong communication skills
- Strong leadership and multitasking ability
- Familiarity with facilities management and SAGE systems
- Comfortable leading KPI reviews and performance reporting
