Quantity Surveyor
Location: Central London
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
Red Sky Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a respected civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering technically complex, high-value projects across the UK. With expertise spanning groundworks, structural concrete, enabling works, highways and utilities, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a key project in the London region.
This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or a strong Assistant QS ready to step up, with 2–3 years’ experience in civil engineering or infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Support cost management and reporting throughout the project lifecycle

Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting

Administer subcontract procurement, payments and variations

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery

Support management of change control procedures and contractual compliance

Maintain accurate commercial documentation and assist with final accounts

Provide clear commercial insight to the site and project teams

Assist in risk management and value engineering processes
Experience & Requirements:
-
2–3 years’ experience in a commercial role within civil engineering or construction

Sector experience ideally includes:
• Groundworks & Earthworks
• RC Frames & Concrete Structures
• Highways / Roads
• Utilities & Infrastructure
• Demolition / Enabling Works
• Rail / Transport Infrastructure

Good knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts

Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or related field

Working towards or holding RICS accreditation (preferred)

Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills
-
Detail-oriented with a collaborative and proactive approach
