HGV Mechanic/ HGV Technician

We are currently recruiting for two experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician to join a growing team at Heathrow Airport. Working as a mechanic, you will be responsible for the servicing of all ground equipment airside. Working on ground service equipment, including towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators, and other specialist vehicles. Using your mechanical expertise, you will diagnose faults and carry out repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment on-site.

HGV Mechanic/ HGV Technician Responsibilities and Duties

• Servicing, maintenance, and repair of GSE Equipment
• Complete all paperwork to a high standard.
• Providing a best-in-class customer experience for our business customers
• Comply with H+S Legislation
• Liaise with internal customers.
• Assist in carrying out all vehicle mechanical and electrical PPM (Planned and
• Preventative Maintenance) in line with set schedules

HGV Mechanic/ HGV Technician Package

1. Vehicle Technician Hours- 4 on 4 off 12hr day & night shifts paying £50,547

2. Vehicle Technician working 4 on 4 off working days 06:00-18:00 £42,200

• Enhanced overtime rates at time & a half

HGV Mechanic/ HGV Technician About you

• GSE experience (desirable)
• GSE or HGV or Light Vehicle mechanical knowledge
• 5 year checkable history in order to get an airside pass
• Able to pass a basic criminal record check.
