Semi-Skilled Steel Fitter (Balustrades & Architectural Metalwork)

Salary: £140 to £160 per day

We are currently seeking a Semi-Skilled Steel Fitter to join our growing team, specialising in the installation of balustrades and architectural metalwork on a variety of commercial and residential projects.

About the Role:

You will support our senior fitters and fabrication team in the installation of metal balustrades, handrails, staircases and bespoke architectural steelwork. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with practical site experience, good attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation of steel balustrades, handrails and architectural metalwork on-site.

• Use of hand tools and power tools for fitting and fixing components.

• Read and interpret basic drawings and instructions.

• Measure, mark and prepare materials for installation.

• Work safely and efficiently as part of a team.

• Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in steel fitting/metalwork or construction (essential).

• Ability to use power tools and equipment safely.

• Basic understanding of site health & safety requirements.

• Ability to read simple engineering drawings (an advantage).

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• CSCS card (preferred but not essential).

• Full UK driving licence (preferred).
